Welcome to the International Colourstrings training course for string players and teachers in Budapest, Hungary, led by the authors Csaba and Géza Szilvay.
This course will be suitable for all levels and certificates will be awarded accordingly.
Contents: The workshops will be led by the authors and founders of Colourstrings, Csaba and Géza Szilvay. This accredited course will comprise 30 hours of tutoring. Time will be given for an overall introduction to the whole Colourstrings teaching approach and chamber music repertoire. This will embrace the 10-12 years of the child’s Colourstrings music education. Emphasis will be on the new and revised Violin / Viola / Cello volumes A, B, C, D and Scale System.

Participation: Participants are expected to take part actively with their instrument. The main teaching material will be shown on the large screen, but chamber music will be played from sheet music. Music stands and sheet music will be available. Cellos may be hired at a very modest price. If you would like to hire a cello, please add this to your application.

Participation fee: 100 Euros – The participation fee for these course days also includes a free travel pass for the metro, trams and buses in the capital. Complimentary coffee / tea will be available during the breaks.
Timetable: Workshops will start daily at 9:30 and end at 5:30. There will be a break between the morning and afternoon sessions.
Accommodation: The organiser has reserved single rooms and double rooms at the nearby hotel Hotel Benczur. The price per night in a superior room is 92 Euros and in a superior double room 56 Euros/person. The price per night in an economy single room is 74 Euros. The deadline for this accommodation offer is the 30th April 2025.
Those participants who are seeking private accommodation should take into consideration that the Formula 1 event will be taking place in Budapest 1st – 3rd August 2025 and therefore flight tickets and accommodation prices in the capital will rise considerably. We warmly recommend that you make early application reservation and travel arrangements.
